In addition, the Historic Preservation Commission submitted substantial documentation on the historic nature of this structure.

Update: The Planning Board met and testimony by structural engineer Bevan Lawson, from Philadelphia and hired by the developer, raised concerns whether the existing structure could support the additional planned stories and extension desired by the developer. After his testimony, the board voted to approve the demolition.
